To a large skillet (I usually use my giant cast iron pan skillet) add your olive oil and chopped onion on medium-high heat. Once you have caramelized onions that are golden brown, you will add your choice of ground beef or ground turkey.
Once you brown the ground beef or your ground turkey in the onions, you will add the beef mixture or turkey mixture to your crock pot.
You will then add your cream cheese, parmesan cheese, tomato sauce ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic to the crockpot as well.
Turn the crockpot on low and stir occasionally until fully mixed and bubbly. If you want it to get down faster, you can turn it on high, watch it closely and give it a good stir more frequently until it is all mixed together and bubbly.
Serve with bell peppers, pita chips, and tortilla chips. You can probably also use kettle-cooked potato chips, we have never tried that before as we are not a big potato chip family.
